Wedding Days and The Temple!

So Scottie's sister Becca got married last weekend and it was SO nice! She married Alik Quigley and they were married in the Jordan River temple. It was really nice because Scottie and I got to go to the temple with them on the 21st to get their endowments, and it was a REALLY nice session. I really don't take advantage of the fact that we're SO close to SO many temples and just go. It's not that we don't have the time, it's just that we don't go. There's always an excuse not to. Well, I have a new resolution to go to the temple once a month. I love how when you go there, no matter what kind of mood you're in before you go, you are ALWAYS in a great mood after you leave. It's fantastic! And last weekend we got to go to the temple 2 days in a row. The 21st for the endowments, and the 22nd for the wedding ceremony. Which also was really beautiful. They're so in love and so happy to be together. It brought back so many memories of my own wedding day, even though it was just a little less than 2 years ago. That day was SO perfect! Absolutely perfect!

I'm excited because Scottie won a trip to Las Vegas! That's where we went on our honeymoon. So in a couple months we'll take a second honeymoon back to Vegas! We went there last summer too, so perhaps we'll make a yearly tradition out of it! I love going to Vegas. Not only because I'm amazing at the blackjack tables (woot woot!) but because I just love all activity. There's ALWAYS something going on! You can walk the strip for hours, go in the shops, check out the big hotels, go to the factories, the museums, the shows....you will NEVER run out of things to do there! Last time we went I won enough money on the tables to pay for our room and buy breakfast the next morning! So hopefully I'll have similar luck this time around! I know we technically shouldn't be gambling, but it's fun. And we always set aside just a certain amount for each of us to play with. It's usually $40 or $50 each and that's it. If we lose it, it's lost. But we budget it right into the trip fund!

Here's my strategy to win though. I always sit at a table with at least 3 or 4 drunk people. Then I pretend like I don't really know how to play. So when I get dealt in, they are all so friendly and willing to help me out. And then the dealer will help me out also. It's awesome. And makes it SO much more fun! YAY! And every time I win, I put the winnings in my pocket and there they stay. So I am only playing with my original $40 or whatever I started with. Good strategy, eh?

Anyway I am SO rambling. Mostly because I have nothing left to do. I've cleaned our entire apartment from front to back...all 1200 square feet of it. There's nothing left for me to clean! And the CSI that's on is a rerun, the cats are sleeping so I can't play with them, and Scottie is primping and making himself pretty for when we go out tonight. He's so funny. He takes longer to get ready than I do. I learned that on our wedding day at the temple. I waited for EVER for him! Alright well I'm going to stop the rambling.

Although Scott just wanted me to let anyone who reads this know that we will someday be moving. And we will be moving to a city that has either a Dave and Busters or a Cici's Pizza. That apparently will be the determining factor in where we settle down. haha

Oh yeah, and we've officially started the adoption process! And by starting the process I mean we have all the information we need to apply and get ready to have a baby soon! I am SO excited! It's frustrating that we probably won't be having any of our own, but I've always wanted to adopt, so I'm really excited about that. I will definitely be posting updates about the process as we go through it. We'll probably have our home study start sometime in May, so we can be ready to apply in June, because we can't technically apply until we've been married for 2 years. So that's that! Okay then! Thanks for reading!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention... isn't gambling against your religion?! You rebel, you.
